Tree & Hedge Services is committed to providing and maintaining a safe and healthy working environment for our workers, subcontractors, clients and members of the public.

We conduct all tree, hedge and vegetation-management work in accordance with applicable Queensland workplace health and safety legislation, industry standards and safe work practices.

Tree & Hedge Services is committed to:

• Identifying hazards and assessing risks before work begins.

• Preparing and following Safe Work Method Statements where required.

• Ensuring workers are appropriately trained, competent and supervised.

• Using suitable personal protective equipment for each task.

• Regularly inspecting and maintaining chainsaws, pole saws, ladders, vehicles and other equipment.

• Establishing exclusion zones to protect clients, tenants, pedestrians and property.

• Safely managing work at heights, falling branches, manual handling, traffic and electrical hazards.

• Confirming underground and overhead service risks where applicable.

• Reporting and investigating workplace hazards, incidents and near misses.

• Maintaining appropriate public liability and workers’ compensation insurance.

• Stopping work when conditions become unsafe or when the approved scope cannot be completed safely.

• Continually reviewing our work practices to improve safety performance.

All workers and subcontractors are expected to take reasonable care for their own safety and the safety of others, follow workplace procedures and immediately report unsafe conditions.

Tree & Hedge Services considers safety an essential part of every job. No work is considered so urgent that it cannot be planned and completed safely.
